Mr. Crawford currently is CEO and Director of GreenBus Corporation. He is also CEO and Director of Cardinal Energy Group, Inc, a publicly traded independent oil and gas producer headquartered in Abilene, Texas. Cardinal currently operates more than 75 oil and gas wells located on more than 2200 acres in Central Texas.
Mr. Crawford co-founded Capital City Petroleum, which was the manager of a series of oil & natural gas funds that were marketed to financial professionals throughout the United States. In November of 2007 he became the company’s CEO and then merged the company in early 2008 into Capital City Energy Group. Capital City Energy Group (CETG) is a diversified oil and natural gas company that is publicly traded. Mr. Crawford continues to remain one of the major shareholders of the company.
He co-founded Capital City Partners in 2002 and was subsequently appointed to CEO of the company. Capital City Partners grew from its four original founders to a regional financial service firm with more than 75 professionals in 5 states specializing in Wealth Management, Investment Banking, Real Estate Fund Management and Insurance Services. Mr. Crawford was the Managing Partner for two of the firms Real Estate funds (SIG Real Property Fund I and II) and remains one of the shareholders of the Company.
Before co-founding Capital City Partners, Mr. Crawford held the position of Senior Vice President for McDonald Investments, Inc., a KeyCorp company. He was the Managing Director for a group of professionals that provided management of stock portfolios, provided banking relationships, real estate structuring and financing and insurance services to businesses and ultra-high net worth individuals.
Before joining McDonald Investments, Mr. Crawford structured and participated in taking The Banc Stock Group, Inc (BSGK) public in 1997, which was the number one performing stock on the NASDAQ in 1998. BSGK subsequently changed the name to Diamond Hill Capital Management, Inc (DHIL) in 2001 and currently manages more than $9 billion in assets. He participated in underwriting more than $50,000,000 in stock for community banks and managed assets totaling more than $50,000,000 while at BSGK. He structured and secured capital for First Capital Bancshares of Bennettsville, Citrus Bank, Northern Star Bank, Bank of Godfrey, Southeast Commerce Bank (currently e-bank.com) and Saratoga Bank.
He is a former member of The President’s Associate Council at Cedarville University and attended The Ohio State University where he studied finance and economics. He attended The SEC Institute where he received the certification to become a Certified Officer for a Public Company.
